Dear Collegues

Over the last 2 years, the Baltic Summer Academy has gained substantial interest among pediatricians, pediatric cardiologists and pediatric cardiac surgeons. We have, therefore, expanded the conference to 2 full days and have included 2 lunch symposia on up to date aspects of mechanical ventilation and myocardial perfusion. This year, the “Baltic Summer Academy” is divided in two main topics: the diagnosis and treatment of “aortic arch anomalies” and the “failing ventricle” in the context of congenital heart disease. Like in the years before, the presentations -held by renowned experts- are structured to give you an overview on “state of the art” approaches to diagnosis and therapy. Again, we have put emphasis on the discussion of current therapeutic challenges and controversies.
