Cardiac surgeons and interventional cardiologists are treating the same patients with different methods but with similar outcomes. SYNTAX has shown a lot but has changed nothing. Guidelines – who cares? Minimally invasive cardiac surgeon or maximally invasive cardiologist – the border becomes blurred. Quo vadis – myocardial regeneration?

These and other provocative topics are waiting to be discussed by you and a superb international faculty during the Baltic Summer Academy 2010. Preceding the ESC congress in Stockholm the meeting is held this year again in the stimulating environment of Heiligendamm directly located at the baltic coast. The symposium is intended as a small but high-end meeting to discuss interdisciplinary developments in cardiac surgery and the definition of new clinical standards between cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, EP professionals, thoracic and vascular surgeons.
